I am a peacemaker

I am a peacemaker.

I make my world more tranquil and harmonious.

I stay calm. 

Peace begins within me. 

I slow down. I savor small pleasures.

I take deep breaths and count to ten when I am feeling stressed.

I listen attentively. I let others know that I care about what they have to say. I focus on their message, instead of interrupting or thinking about how I want to respond.

I communicate openly. 

I speak kindly and gently.

 I set boundaries and let go of judgements. I build trust.

I resolve conflicts promptly and respectfully. I search for common.ground. I negotiate compromises. I am quick to forgive others and myself.

I give generously. I create goodwill by sharing my time, talents, and other resources.

I reach out when I see somebody struggling.

I volunteer in my community and support worthy causes. I help my neighbors and do favors for my coworkers.

I speak out when I see somebody being harmed. I have the courage to stand up for my principles, even if it makes me unpopular. 

I can help stop bullying and discrimination.

I cultivate compassion. 

I want others to be happy and successful. Even when someone treats me badly, I try to understand what they are going through. I can disapprove of their actions without devaluing them.

Today, I encourage peace and unity. I am calm and content. I help others and myself to heal.
